ATO life. was founded by Abi Onuoha, a Physiotherapist with a true passion for helping others. We offer hands-on Physiotherapy, exercise rehabilitation and Health Coaching to help you reach your health and wellbeing goals.

The Founder Story

Hello and welcome to my website! I am a Chartered Physiotherapist by background and specialise in therapeutic exercise for individuals managing long-term or chronic conditions, with an emphasis on Yogic, Pilates and Strength and Conditioning principles. My passion for sport and exercise initially led me to study Sports Therapy. At this time, I was lucky enough to work with some of the country’s best track and field athletes leading up to the London 2012 Olympics.

I then embarked on a masters in Physiotherapy and gained more clinical experience in The NHS; paediatrics, neurology, orthopaedics and hydrotherapy to name a few.

I have worked in the NHS and private practice and trained as a Pilates, Yoga, Mindfulness teacher & Health Coach, which has enriched my skills.

I wanted to formally develop a service whereby I could offer my skills, expertise and holistic approach. That’s when ATO life was born!

When I am not working clinically, I lecture in Physiotherapy at the University of Essex and work to develop my small range of ATO life. products - check out my online shop!

What does ATO life. stand for?

‘Ato’ is the number ‘three’ in the Igbo language which is my Father’s native Nigerian Language. The number three is significant, as to me, it symbolises the three main pillars of health in my eyes – physical, mental and social. ATO life aims to help you strive for optimal health and well-being through helpful lifestyle habits and choices within these three domains.
